Somaliland, an internationally unrecognized state in Somalia, recently completed its democratic presidental election and a peace transition of power. Curious to learn more, I searched for a map of Somaliland but my attempts to load the maps were blocked by the Yemen Net pornography filter. Unbelievable.

ReplyDeleteI'll go to Somaliland with you, although my Somali is sadly lacking... I was talking with a Somali client of mine here at work the other day and he was raving about this Somaliland-based money transfer service called Dahabshiil, which he says is the most reliable in the world. Maybe you've heard of it?
It'll be fun getting your updates. In other news, I'm married now, and have/get to share a bathroom with a girl. It's been interesting.
